• Nagae Takai and Otsuka Taikai

  The format of the Nagae Taikai will be the same as last year.  It will be an individuals based Taikai for senior Kendoka.  3^rd Dan and above Kendoka are invited to apply.  Competitors must register their interest prior to the Taikai.  Kendoka that have competed in the Nagae Taikai won’t be eligible to compete in the Otsuka Taikai.

   

  As per each year, the Otsuka Taikai will be a teams based Taikai where each team will comprise 3 Kendoka.  The teams will be picked from three pools of names.  The pools of names will be based on grades. 
  The teams will be picked on the day. 
  Kendoka who are 2nd Dan and below are invited to compete in the Otsuka Taikai.

  If there are not enough Kendoka to form a sufficient number of teams, Kendoka that have competed in the Nagae Taikai will then be eligible to compete in the Otsuka Taikai.

  Senior Kendoka are also requested to Shinpan during both Taikais if possible.

  Once again Melbourne Budokai will be holding a camp in Spring.

  We've been able to book the same venue as last year in Anglesea.  The details are as follows:

  YMCA Anglesea Recreation Camp

  Friday the 8th of November 2013 to Sunday the 10th of November 2013 (Friday night to Sunday afternoon)

  Shared accommodation for 2 nights and 5 meals

  As per last year, numbers will be limited so get in early as you wouldn't want to miss out.
