About Us
Melbourne Budokai (formerly the Melbourne Kendo Club) has existed for over twenty-five years, training at various locations in and around the City of Melbourne.The Kenshikan Dojo has been the home of The Melbourne Budokai since 1990.
The Dojo (training hall) is located on the fringe of the Melbourne CBD, in West Melbourne.
MelbournebUdokai has international recognition and is affiliated with:
- The Victorian Kendo Renmei, the authorised state governing body for Kendo, Seitei Iaido and Seitei Jodo in the state of Victoria.
- The Australian Kendo Renmei, the authoriesed national governing body for Kendo, Seitei Iaido and Seitei Jodo in Australia.
- The International Kendo Federation the international governing body for Kendo, Seitei Iaido and Seitei Jodo.
- The Victorian Naginata Federation the international governing body for Kendo, Seitei Iaido and Seitei Jodo.
